Park in one of the two car parks at the exit of the Col du Rousset Tunnel, on the Diois side.
(S/E) Head west-northwest and go around the barrier to climb the path on the right towards the Via Ferrata du Col du Rousset. Continue straight ahead to follow the mule track along the hillside. Cross the forest via the winding path until you exit the forest.
(1) Once you reach the Bergerie plain, continue north and climb the path through the meadows to the Col de Chironne, leaving the Bergerie on your left.
(2) At the pass, turn left then right. At the three-way junction, follow the path on the left.
(3) Enter the forest. Follow the path that curves to the left (ignore the path on the right). The path leads to a hairpin bend in another path: take the path opposite (south-south-west) and follow theGRP®, ignoring the paths on either side. Continue downhill to Les Charbonniers.
(5) Climb up opposite (due west) via the unmarked path, which becomes a trail (theGRP® continues further to the right). Join theGRP® and follow it to the left.
(6) At the next junction, take the path 90° to the right (north-northeast) as indicated bythe GRP®, and descend. At the forest road, turn left to reach the Col de Vassieux.
(7) From there, turn right to climb through the woods and reach the next viewpoint (elevation 1359).
(8) Head north to the Col de Vassieux refuge and retrace your steps to the viewpoint.
(8) Descend to Col de Vassieux via the same route you took on the way up.
(7) Continue straight ahead (south-east) on the path along the cliff to reach the But de l'Aiglette.
(9) Continue along the cliff on the Rochers de l'Aiglette (northeast).
(10) At the edge of the woods, at the post, turn right (southeast) and follow the cairns on the Rochers de Chironne. Turn northeast and descend along the woods.
(11) Enter the woods, which form a funnel at the last cairn. Follow the path straight through the woods to the bottom of the plain below the sheepfold.
(1) Turn right to descend back into the forest and rejoin the mule track in the opposite direction to return to the car park at the start (S/E).

. In my opinion, it's very doable with a family, with less elevation gain than indicated in the description. I recommend it!
