Description of the walk

Park at Place de la Mairie in Saint-Cirgues.

(S/E) With your back to the town hall, take the D29 towards Lauresses until you reach the first crossroads.

(1) Leave the main road and take the dirt track in front of you. You will come to a tarmac road.

(2) Turn right and continue downhill to Moulin de Cendrassou.

(3) This municipal road crosses private property. Continue along the road until you pass the property, then turn onto a dirt track that crosses the Ruisseau Noir stream. Follow this track.

(4) Cross the Ruisseau de Palaynous and join the tarmac road leading to Les Burgoux. Turn right at the stop sign.

(5) Carefully take the D31 on your right. Stay on the departmental road for about 300 metres before turning left onto the road leading to Auzal (misspelled on the IGN map). Continue for a few dozen metres, then take the dirt track on the left. You will come to a tarmac road.

(6) Cross over and take the path opposite, which leads to the hamlet of Le Bos. Turn left and rejoin the D31.

(7) Turn right and carefully follow the departmental road to reach Le Sern.

(8) Once you have left the hamlet, turn left onto Rue de l'Ancienne École, then immediately take the path on the left that goes around a house.

(9) Cross the Ruisseau Noir stream again, join a tarmac road and follow it in the same direction. You will come out onto the D199, at a pond on your left.

(10) Turn left, then left again before the antenna to go back up into the village.

(11) Leave the tarmac road and turn right. Walk past a house and continue straight ahead along this small path lined with a low stone wall until you reach the D29. Then turn left to reach the Place de la Mairie (S/E).
