Parking in front of the town hall, Place de la République.
(S/E) Take Rue Courbet opposite the town hall, then turn right onto Chemin du Gravelot until you reach the junction with the main road.
(1) Continue in the same direction, passing the picnic area, until you reach the junction with a country lane near the sewage treatment plant. Take this lane, known as the Chemin de Mailly, and head into the forest: a very pretty viewpoint overlooking the village nestled against the forest.
(2) At the edge of the forest, continue uphill and, at the first junction (not shown on the map), take the path on the left, heading north-east. At the next junction, continue straight on along this same path, still heading downwards towards the north-east. You will come to a fork; follow the path on the right until you reach a forest track suitable for vehicles.
(3) Turn left. 200 m further on, turn left again, slightly downhill, and continue for about 200 m. At the bottom of the slope, turn right and follow the well-marked path through the woods until you reach a larger track known as the “Blindé” track, created to transport guns during the First World War.
(4) Turn left onto this fairly flat track and follow it for about 1 km.
(5) Turn left heading due south to reach a housing estate. Walk alongside it until you come out onto Allée du Bois. Continue straight ahead, then turn right to reach the centre of the village via Rue Kellermann.
(6) Opposite the wash house (point of interest), turn left onto Rue Carnot and return to the starting point, Place de la République (S/E).
