Description of the walk

In old Marnay, head towards Brussey via Avenue de la Gare. After the old railway station, turn right into Rue des Prés Moncey. Park immediately near the Voie Verte.

(S/E) Do not follow the Voie Verte, but start the walk by continuing along Rue des Prés Moncey, which runs parallel to it. This street takes you closer to the banks of the Ognon, offering some beautiful scenery. Continue along it until you can return to the Voie Verte via a small path on the left.

Then continue to the right on the old railway line until you reach the junction with Rue du Moulin.

(1) Leave the Greenway on your right towards the Brussey Ecomuseum.

(2) You can take a break in the Écomusée's landscaped park (with stunning views of the Ognon). Then retrace your steps via Rue du Moulin.

(1) Cross the greenway and continue straight ahead to the junction with Rue de Marnay. Turn right and walk carefully along the street for about 150 metres to reach the pedestrian crossing.

(3) Cross, retrace your steps a little, then turn right into Rue des Douces Terres, which runs between meadows and fields. Pass a small wood on your right and you will come to a crossroads.

(4) Turn onto the meadow path on your left. It runs alongside the fields at the edge of the woods and leads to the four-way crossroads at Combe Gaudin.

(5) Take the path furthest to the left towards Marnay (PR®). You will come out onto Rue Georges Gabiot. Cross the road, taking care as there is no pedestrian crossing.

(6) Turn left and walk past the old railway station to return to the starting point (S/E).

A pleasant, gentle hike with no significant elevation gain, but it's a shame that it doesn't go into the forest (blue round markings).
Complete your outing with a visit to old Marnay, and finish off in style at Le Restaurant du Commerce, which offers a warm welcome, delicious food and very reasonable prices.

A beautiful rural route between Marnay and Brussey. Unfortunately, the route does not include a visit to the town of Marnay, but that didn't stop me from going to visit it. The tour with the visit to the town (which is very interesting) is about 9 km instead of 7 km.
An easy walk, beautiful nature and lovely scenery when you climb a little higher.

A pleasant walk with one minor drawback: we took the wrong number (4) and missed the sign, which added about 3 kilometres to our route. It is important to pay attention to this point.

A pleasant walk through peaceful countryside. After following the Ognon valley, the route changes direction and climbs the hills above Brussey and Marnay. From the highest point, there is a beautiful view of the Jura mountains.
You can prolong the pleasure by exploring the pretty and lively village of Marnay.
