Start: Moulin des Roches in Toulon-sur-Arroux.

(S/E) Cross the Arroux via the Pont du Diable. Follow the D985 to the edge of the village.
(1) Turn left onto the D42 towards Issy-l’Evêque. After the small bridge over the Auxy stream, head up the road on the left towards Le Bois Laizon.
(2) At the hamlet, leave the road on your left and continue straight on along a track. At the crossroads (elevation 317), take the track furthest to the left towards Le Verger. Near the hamlet of Les Brais, note a chestnut tree with a trunk circumference of 6.20 m.
(3) When you reach a tarmac road, turn left towards Les Grandes Pièces. After the farm, leave the road and take the path on the right towards Le Verger.
(4) In the hamlet, continue downhill, to the left of the well. After about a hundred metres, leave the road and take a path on the left. Further on, this path runs alongside the Ruisseau de Veillerot on the right-hand side.
(5) When you reach the road, first turn left then right to take a path alongside the Ruisseau de Veillerot. The path veers away from the stream and leads to a junction.
(6) Turn left here and head uphill along theGR®131(red and white markings).
(7) At the hamlet of Chard, head up to the right towards the Bois du Verger. After 50 m, take a path on the left and, at the Fork in the road that appears immediately, take the path on the right, towards the Bois de Toulon. Cross the woodland, following the yellow markings carefully. At a gate, turn left onto the path towards the Bois de Verger.
(8) At a place called Bois de Verger, follow the road to the right as far as Bois Laizon.
(2) Head down the road to the right (Chemin du Bois Laizon). You’ll come out onto the D42; follow it to the right.
(1) At the Stop sign, turn right, follow the D985 and cross the Arroux. As you come off the bridge, turn right to return to the Moulin des Roches (S/E).
