Tœufles circular loop via the Sources de la Trie

Park in front of the town hall, Place du Hamel. Very spacious area with a picnic table on the large grassy area to the right of the town hall.

(S/E) Head towards the junction with Grande Rue.

(1) Head in the opposite direction to the signposted Tœufles route and take the first street on the left at the foot of the hill, Rue de la Rapaudière. Continue along the path that runs between the houses, then bends left and rejoins the tarmac at Rue Mistigris. Take a short detour to the left to see the Sources de la Trie, rejoin the route and reach the hamlet of Rogeant.

(2) Cross the Route de Gamaches (D22) with care and take a short first turn left then right to join Rue du Moulin and head uphill. Once you reach the plateau, carry straight on until you reach the junction at the hamlet known as Les Six.

(3) Turn right, joining the Tœufles route marked in yellow.

(4) Continue along the small road signposted to the right and reach the junction with the GR®125: red and white markings.

(5) Continue straight on the GR®125 and head down the Cavée de Béhen.

(6) Turn left onto Rue des Bois to enter Ercourt.

(7) Continue right onto Rue de la Carrière, joining the D83, which is called Rue de la Croix here. Follow it to the right, passing the town hall, and reach Place du Monument near the church.

(8) Continue left on the GR®125 to reach the hamlet of Le Monchel.

(9) Turn right onto the GR®125, following Rue d'Houdent. Continue along the path which leads to the D22.

(10) Cross carefully, then take the path opposite to reach Houdent.

(11) Turn right onto Rue du Bois d'Houdent. Turn left at the first junction, then right about 300 m further on. Head towards the woods.

(12) Head left to follow the edge of the Bois de Franqueville and reach the junction with a narrow tarmac road.

(13) Leave the GR®125 and join the Tœufles route, signposted in yellow, on the right.

(14) At Tœufles Castle, head down to the left towards the town hall via the Grande Rue.

(1) Keep left to return to Place du Hamel (S/E).
