Start at Boulevard Vauban, in front of the high school, where parking is easy.
(S/E) Take the Voie Verte or Traverse du Ponthieu ("the white path", as the high school students call it), towards the CM17.
(1) At the junction with Rue Saint-Gilles, leave the Traverse du Ponthieu and go up Rue Saint-Gilles, then Route de Paris.
(2) Opposite the Bar-Tabac "Le Saint-Gilles", turn left onto Rue de la Maye, which will take you out of the town. Go under the D901 and continue straight ahead until the next crossroads at the top.
(3) Turn left towards the wind turbines, one on the left, then one on the right. At the third one, turn left again.
(4) At the end of the road, turn left again to pass over the A16 motorway and cross the D1001 with caution . Continue to Monflières.
(5) In Monflières, go to the Notre Dame de Monflières Chapel, which should be open and is worth a visit. Continuing a little further, you can admire the "Petit Castel des Sorbiers" (and not "sorciers" as I thought at first glance).
(6) We turn back.
(5) Turn left onto Rue de Vallon, which leads to Bellancourt.
(7) Turn left onto Rue du Stade until you reach Rue de La Croix.
(8) Follow it to the left to leave the village and continue to the D153.
(9) At the edge of the woods, cross the D153 carefully (much quieter than the previous road) and climb a little.
(10) Shortly before the methane plant, turn right onto a small dirt track, then, at the end of it, go down to the left and join a road.
(11) Follow it to the left until you reach the D925.
(12) Cross it carefully and turn left onto the Voie Verte or Traverse du Ponthieu towards Abbeville. There are several benches and picnic tables along this 7.5 km stretch.
(12) Pass under the A16, cross the D82 and D1001 with caution , and you will return to the car park (S/E).
