Beautiful discoveries of the site's ponds, hiking in lush greenery and well shaded, easily accessible. Several trails cross the hiking path, so be careful not to get lost. Otherwise, it's pleasant.

A beautiful, pleasant walk with a well-detailed itinerary that winds through the marshes and follows the course of the river.
I took a group of 14 participants on this route, and everyone was delighted. We were lucky enough to see various birds, including storks that have built their nests along the river.

I really liked the beginning, the section near the ponds, the fishing huts, the singing of the many birds, then along the Somme it was really pretty all the way to the castle.
After that, I didn't like the narrow path with poor visibility as much. In the village, there are some nice houses, but you can't see the ponds and marshes at all. Finally, there was a rather long stretch along the fields, which was rather monotonous. It was better than walking along the road, but not particularly interesting.
Thank you anyway for this walk. I recommend the first half.

Hiking in a green and varied setting. Done in very dry weather, the paths are pleasant. In wet weather, some sections can quickly become muddy.
This route should also be enjoyable on gravel or mountain bikes (nothing technical).

A magnificent hike for those, like us, who enjoy walking through marshes, along ponds and rivers, all in peaceful surroundings. Nothing to complain about, except for a slightly muddy section between 7 and 8, but it is March in the marshes!
Highly recommended!

A pleasant, bucolic walk through marshes, fields and along the banks of the Somme.
Train enthusiasts will enjoy crossing two railway lines.
No stunning views or "wow" moments, but that really doesn't matter.

A very beautiful walk, except for one section on a very narrow road that was surprisingly busy (with cars).
Beautiful and varied landscapes (marshes, banks of the Somme, countryside).

An interesting route starting from the Eaucourt bridge and going anti-clockwise, i.e. in the opposite direction to the description.
There were a few uncertainties about the route, but everything worked out in the end and the birds were few and far between.
To venture into the Mareuil Caubert marsh, before the Epagne bridge, on the towpath, don't miss the very small path that branches off to the left, indicated by a sign: route des Fritillaires.
