Park near Proissans Town Hall (small car park at the crossroads), or on the old railway line road, or at Place de la Laïcité.
(S/E) Start from the sign on the old railway platform (small car park). Follow the Boucle les Sangliers (wooden posts marked with yellow caps). Cross the road towards the small house, bench and table. Continue out of the village via the Route du Puits, towards the crossroads (calvary).
(1) Take the small road towards La Millade. Enter the hamlet, turn left then right, and immediately left onto the path that crosses a meadow. After walking alongside the shrubs, take a path on the right along a walnut grove, towards the woods. Descend to the right and continue on the wide path through the woods. You will arrive at a road.
(2) You can turn left for 50 metres to see a fountain and a spring on the right.
Otherwise, turn right and then, after 50 m, turn left towards Moulin de la Drystone Shelter (private lodge). Continue along the path that climbs up a small valley to the Route des Champs and its pond.
(3) Continue right on the road that climbs slightly and offers a view of the village of Proissans on the right. Below the farm campsite, you can glimpse the Château de la Roussie. You will arrive at a crossroads.
(4) Turn right and then immediately left towards Castanet. On this road, you will see an old farm and, further on, a small house with a slate roof. Continue to the road that was once the old railway line, then continue straight ahead towards Les Chanets. At the end of the hamlet and at the crossroads, continue straight ahead for 150 metres.
(5) Turn right towards Les Landes, then turn right and pass in front of the house. Continue to the left along the edge of the meadow until you reach the small ponds. The path branches off to the right and runs alongside the Moulin de la Jamme mill and crosses the Énéa stream. At the road, continue straight ahead along the forest path which climbs and joins another road.
(6) Continue straight ahead towards Les Poulvelleries. At the end of the hamlet, turn left and continue along the path which climbs gradually between meadows and chestnut woods. At the top, at the fork, continue right towards the road. Follow it to the left for about 600 m.
(7) After the Croix de Cluzeau, turn right onto the path that descends to the edge of the chestnut woods. Continue through the Empeytoux clearing. Pass a restored house and a bread oven after walking along the walnut grove.
(8) Turn left, cross the bridge and turn left again, skirting around the walnut grove to reach several ponds and an intersection.
(9) Turn right and walk along the Ruisseau de la Massoulie stream to the pumping station. At the D56 road, turn right for 500 m, cross the bridge on the right and immediately take the forest path that goes uphill. When you reach a fork, turn left and exit the woods. At the houses, turn right and then left. Pass in front of the cemetery and the church. At the war memorials, turn left and return to the town hall car park (S/E).
