The walk starts at the hiking information board next to the old town hall (blue shutters) on the edge of the D703. Parking is available in front of the village hall and on the other side of the road.
(S/E) Go up the steep hill towards the new town hall, visible with its flags, then turn left after the building. Follow this road and pass a pretty stone fence at 1.2 km.
(1) At the large agricultural shed, turn left. When you reach the road 100 m away, keep left, pass the campsite bungalows and, after 200 m, take the path on your right which leads to a new forest road and then to the Château de Puy de Rèze (private).
(2) After the castle fence, turn left and take the path downhill between the trees. After 500 metres, turn right and follow the signs for Route No. 4. When you reach the first road, make the first turn right then left and continue to the D30.
(3) Cross carefully and continue straight ahead towards the Ferme de la Fouliouze. After 100 metres, opposite the farm entrance, at the private car park, turn right and follow the path. Shortly afterwards, turn right and follow the signs for Puy de Rèze. At the fork 50 m further on, turn left, then left again towards "Dreyrie". You are now on part ofthe GR® 6 trail.
(4) At the road, turn right, pass in front of the Monteil lodge and continue to the next crossroads 700 metres away. Turn left towards Veyssière Basse. This route avoids continuing on the road and allows you to discover a pretty path. Go down the path that goes around a house.
(5) At the bottom of the descent, just before the road becomes visible, turn right and head back up towards a place called La Cabane.
(6) At the road, turn right and, after the last house in the hamlet, turn left and follow the path uphill. Turn left at the top of the hill and at the foot of the fence to pass in front of the Lodge de la Dreyrie, a private property with beautiful architecture.
(7) Continuing along the route, you have two options. Both lead to the same place 200 metres away: turn left, passing in front of the houses, or turn right, taking the tree-lined road. 100 metres after the last buildings, take the forest path on the right.
(8) At the end of the path, take the road on the right and pass through a place called Le Forchet. Please note: do not change direction. A path continues straight ahead, but may be hidden by vegetation. It leads to the entrance to the village of Pezuls.
(9) When you reach the D703, enter the village. There are two options:
1) Continue to the starting point 200 m ahead of you.
2) Follow the route, take the road on the left towards Le Bousquet, then, after 50 m, take the first right towards L'Écho de la Vallée. This route allows you to discover the site of Sainte-Anne Church. At the top of the hill, remain vigilant. Take the downhill path, marked "no horse riding", to reach the road opposite the church. The site is worth a detour, but the descent is short and a little steep.
Pass to the left of the church, then turn right at the road to reach the old town hall (S/E).
