Schlumpf ski lift car park (access: in the village of Dolleren, in the Masevaux valley, turn left onto the small signposted road leading up to Schlumpf).
(S/E) In front of the ski lift building, walk down the road for a few metres and take the Green Ring path which climbs to the left, along the edge of a meadow.
(1) At the junction just after crossing a large meadow, follow the Red Ring path to the left, which climbs steeply through the forest towards the scree slope at the summit of Schlumpf.
(2) When the path emerges onto the scree, join the lovely Blue Rectangle (Blue-White-Blue) path and follow it to the left, passing under the ski lift cables to reach a small pass. Continue straight on to the Fennemat scree, which offers a beautiful panorama.
(3) Continue eastwards along the summit path (Blue Triangle) to the Sommerseite shelter and the picnic table. From there, continue through the forest along the ridge, still following the Blue Triangle, until you reach a junction with another path at the bottom of a descent.
(4) At the junction at the bottom of the descent, take the path (Blue Ring) to the right, to the Lochberg Farm Inn
(5) At the Lochberg Farm Inn (Kirchberg municipality), as you emerge from the woods, follow the Blue Rectangle path to the right towards the source of the Doller. Go over the pass and arrive at the junction. Leave the path to the left to discover the source of the Doller.
(6) Then, return to the path and head left towards the Fennematt agritourism complex (closed).
(7) Walk past La Fennematt.
(8) 300 m after Fennematt, turn right onto the Blue Rectangle/Red Ring trail which climbs to the right, towards the Graber Breitenstein shelter and Sewen.
(9) Once you reach the ridge, leave the hut on your left and head down; in the forest, take the Red Ring path which branches off to the right, down the valley towards the village of Dolleren. Once at the bottom, take the Red Triangle path which climbs to the right, before descending towards the pastures of the Auberge du Graber.
(10) From Graber, take the Red Ring-marked track to the right, following it for 300 m, before taking a path at the bend that climbs to the right towards Schlumpf.
(11) Follow this Red Ring straight ahead, then the Green Ring path taken on the way there.
(1) Go straight on, along the same path as on the way there, but in the opposite direction, to return to the car park (S/E).
