Parking near the aqueduct in Champonost.
(S/E) When you leave the car park, under the arches of the aqueduct, follow the road on your left. Turn left at the first crossroads (Rue du Docteur Penard) and follow the arches on your left, which gradually disappear. Continue straight ahead on Rue du Docteur Penard and pass the first roundabout.
(1) When you reach the second roundabout (with a central island), take the second street on your right (Rue Claude Dominget) and continue towards La Chavannerie.
(2) At the crossroads in front of the La Chavannerie clinic, turn right (Rue Favre Garin).
(3) You will come to a crossroads with a stone calvary. Turn left (Avenue Paul Doumer). At No. 41, turn left into Rue René Chapard.
(4) With the Saint-Prix church on your right, head towards the Tourist Office and the media library towards Parc du Boulard. Follow the path along the small Merdansson stream. Go around the pond on the left and continue along the path that runs alongside the stream.
(5) Cross the stream and take the path that climbs up in front of you through the woods. This path leads you to orchards on the plateau of Le Vernay. Ignore the first path on your left, then Rue Jean-Eugène Culet on your left, and continue straight ahead.
(6) At the crossroads, turn left onto Rue François Chanvillard, which will take you back to the old village of Chaponost. Take the first street on the left (Rue Antoine Rouillat). Continue along this street as it turns to the right. At the crossroads, follow Rue Jean-Eugène Culet to the right until it ends. Turn right onto Rue Etienne Radix.
(7) Pass by the former convent of the Antonine Maronite brothers. At the end of the street, turn left, then right onto Rue des Framboisiers. At the end of this street, turn right and return to the car park (S/E).
