Description of the walk

The walk starts next to the "Vert Yzeron" sign, not far from the Chemin des Fonts roundabout.
The walk is accessible from the TCL bus stop “Sainte-Foy Les Sources” (Bus 90).

(S/E) Follow the path as it descends gently alongside the stream (on the right-hand side of the path). Cross the stream and now follow it on your left.

(1) Ignore the path on the right that leads back up towards the Chemin Antoinette housing estate. Continue until you reach a wooden gate and a car park.

(2) Turn around and return to the starting point via the same path (S/E).

A pleasant, very short walk. You can hear and see the road below, and there aren’t many places to park (arrive early) (alternative: look for the “Planète Montagne” car park on your satnav, and start the walk from the end). Note that you can take the small paths on either side (they’re uphill) which are much less busy.

Accessible by mountain bike, but officially off-limits to cyclists! There is a sign clearly visible on the way down, but none at the start of the climb... Since this information was published, the sign has been replaced; in fact, this path has never been officially closed to cyclists. Nevertheless, cyclists should show consideration for pedestrians if they want this permission – which is rare in practice in the area – to continue.

A short half-hour walk, ideal for little ones (aged 4) who can run about in the countryside right in the heart of the city! It’s a very busy spot (joggers, local residents) but still very pleasant.
