Description of the walk

The route starts from the car park at Place de l’Église, opposite the town hall, on Rue du Bourg.

(S/E) Opposite the town hall, turn right, then immediately left onto Rue du Pré de Launay, until you reach a junction.

(1) Turn right onto Rue de Paris. Walk past the school and carry on until you come to a small road.

(2) Cross it, carry on until you come to another road, turn left onto it and ignore a street on your right.

(3) At the T-junction that comes up straight away, veer to the right. Pass a turn-off on the left, then one on the right. Walk past an old castle, then carry on along a path. Pass under two high-voltage power lines and carry on straight ahead, ignoring the turn-offs on either side, until you reach a road.

(4) Cross it carefully at the pedestrian crossing and, a little further on, ignore a turn-off to the right.

(5) At the junction immediately ahead, turn left towards a wood. Enter the wood, following a PR® sign to the left. A little further on, ignore a turn-off to the left.

(6) At an X-junction, leave the PR® and turn right (there is a fence on your right) until you reach the edge of the woodland. Continue until you come to a crossroads.

(7) Turn left here, pass under two high-voltage power lines, then carry on straight ahead until you reach the D115.4.

(8) Cross it carefully, first turning left then right to enter the woodland. Carry on straight ahead, ignoring all the side paths, until you emerge from the forest.

(9) At a junction that comes up quickly, by a gate, take a grassy path on the right towards a house. You’ll come out onto a street; continue to the left.

(1) At the next junction – which you passed on the way out – head diagonally right towards the cemetery. Then take the first left onto Rue de l’Église. At the end of this street, turn left to return to the car park where you started. (S/E)
