The start is at a junction of the D400 with a dirt track coming in from the right, before the hairpin bend leading up to the village.
(S/E) Take the D400 on your right to reach the village. Turn left and shortly afterwards, take Rue de l’Église on your right.
(1) At the fork, turn left onto the Route de Fourg and follow it, ignoring the various paths you come across. At the Petit Villars junction, turn left in front of the two houses. Continue until you reach the right-hand hairpin bend.
(2) Then leave the tarmac road and head straight on along the dirt track leading down in front of you.
Carry on until you reach the edge of the woods and come out onto pastureland.
(3) Turn left onto the Jules César embankment and follow it until you reach the A-road.
You will probably need to open gates enclosing the pastures. Please remember to close them properly. The farmers let us cross their land, so let’s avoid letting the animals escape.
When you reach the D101, turn right.
(4) After 50m, leave the road and take a farm track on the left that runs alongside the forest. After a good kilometre, you will see a lovely white track on the left that ends after 100m.
(5) Turn left and follow it along a more or less well-marked track.
Head right onto the road until you reach the junction.
(6) At the junction of the D400 and D408, take the stony track that climbs to the left, running alongside a property. Enter the woods, following theGR® red and white markings.
(7) Further on, take a path branching off at right angles to the left. Turn quickly right, then left again to leave the forest. The track is very well marked on the ground and signposted on the trees.
You will then reach your car park by following the path (S/E).
