Park in the car park of Saint-Martin-de-Nigelles church. This village is hidden in the Drouette valley, between Épernon and Maintenon.
(S/E) With your back to the church, walk down Rue Jean Moulin and pass in front of the town hall. You will soon reach a crossroads.
(1) Turn right onto Rue du Général de Gaulle. Cross the bridge in front of the Moulin de la Perruche, then immediately turn left onto Chemin des Aulnes. Walk along the Drouette to the Côte de Paradis.
(2) Cross the bridge on the left. You will reach Rue de Nigelles, passing in front of the Moulin de Nigelles and its bread oven. Turn right and follow the path to Allée des Peupliers. Turn right again to reach the Drouette river and follow it to the Églancourt bridge.
(3) Cross this bridge, then turn left at the bend to take Passage des Quatre Maisons. Follow the path on the right at the end of this cul-de-sac. At the end of the path, turn left onto Rue Henri Baillods, then take the path that continues to the next street.
(4) Turn right, go up Rue de Gobienne on the left, then a few dozen metres further on, take the path on the left that goes around the housing estate. Continue to the next road (D101). Turn right and follow the road for about a hundred metres to the corner of the small wood on the left.
(5) Take the path on the left along the gardens of the first houses. Follow this straight path through the cereal fields to Côte de Fervache and the crossroads with Rue du Coteau.
(6) Take it on the left and go downhill. At the four-way crossroads, take the D101.3 on the right. You will soon come to another four-way crossroads.
(7) Turn left onto Chemin de la Vallée du Bellay, then turn right to walk along the Garenne woods. Join a wider track (Chemin de la Garenne) and turn right. Continue until you reach the road, turn right then left onto Chemin de Ponceaux. You will then reach Rue de la Drouette.
(8) Turn right, cross the Drouette and immediately turn right onto Rue des Saulx, which is also markedGR®655West in white and red. Walk along the Drouette and arrive at the Saulx neighbourhood.
(9) Continue left on theGR®, cross Rue de Fervache and continue opposite into Impasse de la Vallée. At the end of the cul-de-sac, take the path through the woods and then reach the Sentier de la Bourguignonne crossroads.
(10) Take it to the left and climb up to reach the car park of the church of Saint-Martin-de-Nigelles (S/E).
