Cross the village of Gattières and park just after the roundabout on the right when coming from the south.
(S/E) From the car park, head towards the post office and town hall and turn right towards the old village. Walk around it clockwise, via Rue des Fades and Rue du Château. Then head down towards the east towards Place du Lavoir.
(1) Turn around at the square. Head back up Rue des Étagères and pass the post office again. Cross the square and take the roundabout on your left to go up Chemin des Ferraillons.
(2) Continue right along this path, which joins Route des Sauces. Go up the steps that cut across the circular bend in the road and continue west along Chemin de Ferraillons until you reach number 794.
(3) Turn right onto the path which, passing through olive groves, joins the Vieille Route de Carros. Turn left onto this road and, after 200 metres, turn right onto Chemin de Bézaudun. Pass number 148.
(4) Take the path on the right. Climb this path through the olive groves towards La Bessière. Pass marker 73 and arrive at marker 74 on the GR®51.
(5) Turn right onto Canal de la Gravière heading north-east towards the Mercantour peaks.
(6) At the intersection with the path leading up to Clos de Piquet on the left, turn right onto a path that descends steeply towards marker 39. At this marker, turn right towards the Saint-Martin farm. Pass marker 70 and descend south-east along the Chemin de la Source Saint-Martin.
(7) Leave this path on the left and continue downhill towards the village of Gattières. Cross the Vieille Route de Carros and join Chemin Saint-Martin. Follow it to Chemin des Espeiroures, then turn left to return to the village. At the end of this path, turn left and then immediately right to reach Impasse des Restanques. Turn right onto Route de la Manda and return to the car park (S/E).
