Park in the village car park near Le Coing, formerly L'Étape.

/A: Pass the book exchange, go down to the wash house on the right and then take thefirst dirt lane on the left.
At the end, turn left again and continue straight on until you reach the war memorial.
There, go up to the right for about a hundred metres before taking Chemin de Mazelet on the left towards Fougnières.
(1) Ignore thefirst path that branches off to the left at the bottom of the vineyard. Take thesecond path and follow it up to the local road No. 6.
Cross it and take Chemin de la Rue aux Loups opposite.
At Le Roussot, follow the signs for Vivier on the left, marked in green on a white background.
(2) At the next intersection, continue straight ahead towards Nouville, still following the same route marked in green on a white background.
Ignore the path that branches off to the right towards the caves and the next one in the wide bend.
Keep left and climb up the communal wasteland. At the crossroads marked by a bathtub, continue straight ahead and ignore thefirst path on the left.
(3) Turn onto thesecond path, still heading towards Nouville.
Go down the path that enters the Bois de la Combe.
Turn right at the next intersection, following the green markings on a white background.
Descend to the left into the Combe du Nivernais. Cross it and climb slightly to the right to reach a clearing at the top.
Follow the well-marked path through the brambles before descending a steep slope, still following the green markings on a white background.
Continue along this path until you reach the junction with the path marked in blue on a white background.
(4) Descend to the left to the Menuiserie au Voisinet, a place called Nouville.
There, turn right towards Culey, onto the path that runs alongside an imposing woodshed. Continue straight ahead on this path until you reach the leat of the Moulin de la Chaussée de Culey.
Turn left to reach the road and then the "route de Blanot", which you follow to the right.
At the Moulin de Culey signpost, note the presence on the right of another watermill older than the previous one, the Moulin Gabon or Moulin de Culey. Its 3.70 m wheel is the largest of all those on the Grison.
(5) Turn left onto Rue des Molards, which climbs up to the wash house before reaching Place du Carge, where you turn onto the rural path of Culey le Haut, which climbs immediately to the left towards the woods. Pass the last house.
The tarmac soon disappears, giving way to a grassy path.
Continue climbing for a few metres.
(6) Take the first path on the left.
As you do so, pass to the left of a small zinc trough.
At the next bend, there is a steep climb, which you should tackle before turning left at the firstturn, marked by a brown symbol above a slanted square affixed to a tree. Follow it until you reach a low wall at marker 16, which leads to a perpendicular path.
(7) Follow it to the right, without turning, until you reach a wide concrete path.
(8) Turn right and follow the path along the field.
For the curious, do not go up the concrete path immediately, but walk along the field on the right at the edge of the forest. At the end of this field, at the bottom on the right, just before the start of a beautiful path, there is a red stone cairn. Enter the woods at this point. Continue straight ahead. A few metres further on, you will find a cadole (winegrower's shelter) in a pile of stone gathered from fields that is not easily visible.
For the others, simply follow the path uphill. Ignore the path that branches off to the left and passes in front of a hunting cabin. Continue to Les Replats.
(9) There, turn left towards La Moutonnerie.
Walk for a long time before reaching a water reservoir.
Adventurers who are not tired from their previous escapade can walk along it and turn right along the fence to reach a remarkable viewpoint over the Grosne valley and Cluny in the distance.
Others should continue to the La Moutonnerie crossroads.
There, continue straight ahead, following the BL2 route – Blanot sur le faitral.
(10) At the La Roche signpost, turn left onto Blanot-Bourg to return in a straight line to the starting point of this walk.
You can extend this walk by going around the village.
Bats mark the ground and guide walkers who wish to discover a little more of this pretty village and its many points of interest (book exchange, wash house, fountain, communal oven, church, priory, Merovingian tombs, pottery and cheese maker). Return to the car park in Bourg de Blanot (S/E).
