The walk starts from the town hall in Artalens-Souin. Small car park on site.
(S/E) From the town hall, turn right, heading south, along the small flat lane (Rue de la Marque). Follow the yellow markings, taking the path downhill through the meadows towards the forest. Leave the path leading to the Grotte du Renard and continue on the main path. You will reach a stream.
(1) Cross it and begin an easy climb. At the first fork, ignore the path on the right. Continue along the left branch of the track to reach the crossroads at a place called La Devèze.
(2) Take the small path on the left, join a track and follow it to the right. You will reach a crossroads at a place called Arry.
(3) Leave the track and take the path opposite (east). Enter the forest via a section that is steep at first but then levels out. After heading south, join another track.
(4) Turn left, heading west, and arrive at Les Bouigues. Continue on to reach the highest point and a new track.
(5) Take the track completely to the left and begin the descent to reach the hamlet of Plagnet via the track/road on the right for 50 m.
(6) Cross the road and head due west. Cross the Route du Hautacam (D100) twice and then reach the Artalens car park (S/E).
