Circular from Obersteigen via the Sattelfels menhir

Park in front of the Sainte-Marie de l'Assomption Chapel - Rue de la Chapelle in Obersteigen.

(S/E) With your back to the car park, follow Rue de la Chapelle to the left, then Route de Dabo to the right until you reach the next crossroads.

(1) Turn right and follow the forest path marked Chevalet Rouge, which leaves the village in the direction of Sattelfels.

(2) Leave the forest path and follow the trail on the left that climbs into the forest and joins a wider path further on. Follow this path on the left and continue on to the Menhir du Sattelfels.

(3) Turn onto the path on the left, which joins a forest track further on.

(4) Follow the forest track on the left marked with a red triangle towards the Col du Valsberg and join the D143.

(5) Follow the D143 carefully on the left until the next bend, where a path descends into the forest.

(6) Follow this path, still on the left, marked with a blue rectangle. A little further on, you will come across another forest track. Follow it for a few dozen metres before leaving it and continuing on the path on the left, which joins the fork you passed on the way out.

(1) From there, retrace your steps to the car park at the Chapel of Sainte-Marie de l'Assomption (S/E).
