A short, peaceful walk in Borgloon, through the countryside and past fruit orchards. The walk follows land consolidation and country lanes used by a few farm vehicles and cyclists, with a brief detour past the Transparent Chapel and the Roman Villa landmark.

Description of the walk

Starting from the Chaussée de Saint-Trond, there’s a car park along the road, and the route returns to the starting point

The walk takes you mainly through the surrounding fields, in the peaceful Borgloon countryside with its fruit orchards

No motorised vehicles, apart from a few bicycles and farm vehicles.

After a few hundred metres, you’ll pass the transparent chapel with its exceptional view and the chance to take a unique photo

A little further on, you’ll need to step off the route for a few metres to sit for a moment on the bench at the ‘Roman villa landmark’

The walk is easy and suitable for children and older people; all the paths are easy to follow and in good condition.
