Bois des Liards

The start is by the cemetery on your right.

(S/E) Follow the path due west. Just after this, ignore a path on the left leading to the grey gate by the pond. Continue straight on and, just after that, turn left (not shown on the IGN map). When you reach the hut on your right, head slightly to the left to reach the wooden arched gateway.

(1) Go through it and you’ll immediately reach the road. Keep left until you reach the crossroads. Cross the D 18 with care and head uphill opposite along Rue de la Fontaine until you reach a T-junction. Cross over and turn right onto Route de Perreux, continuing to the next junction.

(2) Head up the path on the left for about 1 km until you reach a road. Turn left until you reach the Fork in the road (elevation 182). Follow the road to the right, passing through the hamlet of Morizet shortly afterwards. Ignore the next road on the right; carry on until you reach the next path on the right.

(3) Cross to the right and head straight on until you come out onto the D 16. Cross with great care and head straight on towards the Champ de la Cure. 100 metres further on, ignore the road on the right leading to the houses at Champ de la Cure. Continue straight on along a track and, further up, you’ll reach the hamlet of Les Boudins.

(4) Carry on for a few metres until you reach a T-junction. Cross the junction and turn right onto the winding road, then take the next road on the left, passing through the undergrowth of the^first section of the Bois des Liards until the road ends (elevation 179).

(5) Turn left until you reach elevation 177. Head left and pass through the^second section of the Bois des Liards, walking through the woodland. On leaving the woodland, follow the path first to the right and then to the left until you reach elevation 167. Turn right and walk for 120 metres. Ignore the small road on the right leading towards La Bissoterie.

(6) Carry on straight ahead down a small road and follow it to the bottom; as soon as it turns right towards the D 18, leave it and take the path on the left, then shortly afterwards the path on the right until you reach a cross-path (elevation 162).

(7) Turn right for 20 metres to reach a road. Ignore the one on the left. Carry on straight ahead until you reach the D 18. Cross with care and head towards the (S/E).
