Ample parking in Place du Château. The starting point for the walk is at the foot of the toilets building.

(S/E) Opposite the long building on the edge of the square (multi-commerces), with the Route d'Auxerre (N151) on your left, turn right to reach the upper part of the street. Turn left in front of the shops. Pass Rue du Marché on your right, then the next alleyway to reach the stop sign. Go straight across Boulevard Dussautoy.
Go up, leaving the few streets on the right and left, until you reach a crossroads formed by five lanes.

(1) Turn right. Continue along the same road, leaving the cemetery on your right. When you reach the road, turn left for 250 m.

(2) Take the right-hand path at the bottom of the valley. After leaving the slightly overhanging Chemin des Loups on your left, continue for a few hundred metres.

(3) Leave the valley and turn right to climb up to the plateau. Leave the access road to the Vau farm (orchard on the right). At the entrance to the wood, forget the start on the left (not marked on the IGN map). At the first three-way junction, turn left onto a cross-country track.

(4) Keep to the right and follow the main path due south. Leave all the right and left-hand paths. Reach the D950 road.

(5) Cross this road carefully and pick up the path again. Once again, forget the side starts. When you come to a barrier made of branches, do not try to go through - it is the former entrance to a private property.

(6) Turn left and find a tarmac lane 100 m further on. Follow this road to the right for approximately 150 m.

(7) Turn right onto the track. Enter the undergrowth fairly quickly.

(8) At the fork, turn right. Keep to the widest path, leaving the side paths to the right. Continue along the edge of the wood with a power line on your left. After leaving the wooded area, continue onto the plain.

(9) Go straight on and descend to the starting village. At the first crossroads with Rue de Beauvais, continue straight ahead along Rue des Hâtes as far as the crossroads with Chemin de Ronde. Go straight ahead at this crossroads. Turn right into the next lane (Rue Torse). After around 100 metres, turn left into Rue Traversière. Turn right into the next alleyway and you will reach the Place du Château (S/E).

The route is suitable for all seasons, although it can become muddy in places when it rains heavily. The paths are wide enough to allow you to pass unhindered.
