From the centre of Pujaut, take the D177 towards Tavel. At the edge of the village, the road widens and curves to the left. Turn right onto Chemin de l'Aspre "Roman wall". Go to the end of the road (metal barrier) and park on the right in a small circular car park.
(S/E) Facing the hill (smooth grey rocks), take the path on the right that runs along the bottom of the hill and then winds through oak undergrowth. Stay on this path, ignoring the other paths, to reach the top of the hill on a kind of promontory. Take the path on the left, join a wider path diagonally, continue to the right and go through the metal barrier.
(1) Take the ochre dirt track on the left, pass under a high-voltage power line (characteristic crackling sound) before the pillars without a gate of the Château de l'Aiguilhon, which can be seen on the left.
(2) Turn right. Pass under the high-voltage power line again and continue for about 100 metres.
(3) Ignore Chemin du Voyage on the right, then keep right immediately after onto Chemin de Clairefontaine, which passes three gates and descends into a small forest popular with birds. This path leads to a small road, which you should follow until you reach the junction with Chemin des Materones.
(4) Turn left onto Chemin des Materones, keep left at the fire hydrant and continue straight ahead. Ignore Impasse des Materones on the left and you will come out onto Rue de la Croix de Fer in Pujaut.
(5) Turn left, walk along a retaining wall made of large blocks of Vers stone, take the first left, then the first right (Rue Haute). Keep going up until you reach a plateau where the ruins of the old castle are located.
(6) Go through the gate to access the staircase that winds its way up to the top of the hill. Enjoy the view of the village and the orientation table. Head west, make a small detour to the calvary and the old mill (unfortunately without sails) then take the fitness trail lined with different species of pine trees. Continue straight ahead on the path, which then makes a few bends with a beautiful view on the right of Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail.
(3) Turn left onto Chemin du Voyage and stay on it.
(1) Turn diagonally to the right, ignoring the path you took on the way there. Go through the metal barrier and keep to the right on Chemin de l'Aspre, which you should follow until you reach a green cistern on your left.
(7) About thirty metres after the cistern, turn left (Roman wall) and admire the palette of colours stretching out before you, which changes with the seasons, offering a whole range of colours from greens to yellows and reds... and remember that over 400 years ago, this "watercolour" offered shades of blue. Walk down to the barrier to reach the car park (S/E).
