Park in the car park of the Cave Coopérative, Route de la Commanderie in Tavel.
Follow the yellowPR® markings along the route.
(S/E) Turn your back on the winery and take the road towards Rochefort, crossing the D26 on the pedestrian crossing. Continue straight ahead, cross the bridge over the Mal Aven stream and immediately take the path on the right. You are now on the Sables terroir, which is located on sandy-stony soil.
(1) Once you reach the motorway (A9), turn right and follow the road that runs alongside the rest area on the left. After passing the A9 car park fence, continue on the right and start descending.
(2) Once at the bottom and just before Mal Aven, take a hairpin turn to the left onto a path that climbs up and crosses over to the Lauzes terroir, surrounded by wooded hills. It consists of rocky soil, dotted with flat white stones called "Lauzes" mixed with red clay.
Take the time to enjoy the view of the Combe des Vestides, then continue along the path. Turn right when you reach a small tarmac road, cross a bridge over the Mal Aven (often dry) and enter the village of Tavel.
(3) At the stop sign, take Rue de la Combe opposite and walk down it.
(4) At the bottom on the left, a narrow street leads to the Fontaine de Tavel. Then retrace your steps and continue left on Rue des Lavandières to discover the wash house. Turn right to walk alongside it and enter the vegetable gardens of La Condamine, bordered by dry stone walls and irrigated by small canals.
Leave the gardens by turning left onto Rue de la Condamine, then turn left again at the crossroads. Continue along Rue Sainte-Yvonne until you reach the crossroads with Route Romaine.
(5) Turn right, then left at the crossroads to return to the Cave Coopérative (S/E).
