To get to the starting point of this walk, leave Argelès-sur-Mer on the D618 towards Le Boulou, Céret. Leave the D618 at the Villelongue-dels-Monts exit. At the first roundabout, turn right and park a few hundred metres further on in the car park of the Lycée Professionnel Alfred Sauvy.
(S/E) Leave the car park heading south to reach the roundabout, then take the tarmac road on the left (due north). At the first intersection, turn right (north-east). Pass the Casot del Pastre on your left.
(1) Continue straight ahead for about 1 km, ignoring the various intersections.
(2) Leave the road and take a path on the left heading due north (just before the altitude of 46m) where a road branches off at a right angle to the right.
At a crossroads, go straight ahead, passing Brullà and ignoring the two paths that branch off to the left at the bend.
(3) Further on, take the second path on the left (at an altitude of 38m) then, at a crossroads, turn left (south-west) to reach the edge of the Étang d'els Baixos. Go around it on the right, on the western edge.
(4) Leave the lake by continuing straight ahead, pass Rec del Molí and rejoin the road you arrived on at the start of the walk.
(1) Turn right (south-west) and follow the same route you took on the way there. At the crossroads, turn left to reach the roundabout you took at the start. At the roundabout, turn right and head for the car park (S/E).
