Avin Hannut – Thorembais-Saint-Trond

Route from Namur to Avin-Ciplet

(S) Take Rue Tige Jacquette, running alongside the farm. Pass all the roads and junctions until you find yourself in the middle of the fields. The street changes its name to Rue des Limonadiers, then to Rue Alphonse Piron. Continue to a ‘Y’-junction.

(1) Turn right onto Rue de la Brasserie. Join Rue Grande – N652 at Meeffe. Turn right. Cross over the River Soile and turn left onto Rue d’Hemptine / Rue de Meeffe until you reach Rue de la Soile in Hemptine.

(2) First turn left then right to take the continuation of Rue de Meeffe opposite. Ignore a road on the right. At the ‘T’ junction, first turn left then right. Take Rue de la Gohiette, then the pedestrianised street after house no. 80 to reach Rue de Champion – N924.

(3) Follow Rue de Champion to the left. It crosses the countryside and is known as Route de Wasseige. Continue along the main road. After Rue du Parc, which joins diagonally from the right, turn right onto it just before a ‘Y’ junction. Continue to the first houses in Bolinne.

(4) Turn right, then left onto Rue Adolphe Doneux. Ignore the side streets. The road goes round a farm. At the ‘Y’ junction, follow it to the left. At the double ‘Y’ junction that follows, turn first left, then right onto Rue du Siffleau. Continue to Route de Ramillies – N991

(5) First turn left then right onto Rue des Nozilles. Cross the Ravel. You’ll reach Chaussée de Louvain – N91.

(6) Follow it to the right as far as Noville-sur-Mehaigne. Cross the Mehaigne. At the corner of the Château de la Motte estate, turn left onto Rue Louis Allaert. Take the second street on the right (the continuation of Rue L. Allaert).

(7) Turn left onto Rue du Village and follow it round all its bends, ignoring the side streets, until you reach a farmhouse-castle situated at a junction of roads and paths. Continue straight on until you reach the cobbled path.

(8) Follow it to the left. At the next three crossroads, carry on straight ahead. At the two ‘Y’-junction crossroads, turn left. Follow Rue Salmon until you reach Rue Saint-Roch in Perwez.

(9) Turn right. At the ‘Y’ junction at the entrance to the Grand’Place, continue to the left until you reach the ‘T’ junction – Rue de la Station.

(10) Turn left. Cross the Ravel and follow Chaussée de Wavre until you reach Chaussée de Charleroi in Thorembais-Saint-Trond (E).
