(S/E) Head towards Frênes via the D815, ignore a road on the left and arrive at a dirt track on the left.
(1) Take this track and, at the crossroads, turn left towards the hamlet of Poulhaye.
(2) Turn left to follow the tarmac road to Le Hamel Vigor. Leave the hamlet on your right and continue to a junction.
(3) Take the path on the left towards Mont de Cerisy. You are now on the route taken by the cloutiers coming from Landisacq. These craftsmen used this path to transport their wares to be sold in Condé-sur-Noireau and from there to Caen. Continue along this path until you reach the D265 road.
(4) Cross it carefully andyou will reach the Paris-Granville railway bridge, built by hand around 1866–1867.
(5) In the field, on the other side of the bridge, you can see a gable wall with a granite chimney. This is all that remains of the former manor house of the de La Rivière family, a noble family who owned this small estate in the 15th and 16th centuries. The boundary between Montsecret and Cerisy-Belle-Étoile ran through the middle of their hall and fireplace, from north to south. Continue due north until you reach a fork in the road.
(6) Take the sharp right-hand bend, climb towards Mont de Cerisy and, before turning onto the first path on the right, you can see on the left a small hill rising to 185 m: Mont Secret?
(7) Turn north-west and arrive at a crossroads.
(8) Following mountain bike signpost no. 19, head to the viewpoint which, although situated on Mont de Cerisy, lies within the municipality of Montsecret: a quarter of the hill actually belongs to it.
(9) Retrace your steps.
(8) Take the first path on the right. Head towards the site known as Vieux Saint-Pierre via theGR®22B, then continue along the path on the left to reach the bridge known as La Cécile, which crosses over the railway line.
