Description of the walk

Park in the car park near the tank on the outskirts of Bastogne, along Rue Gustave Delperdange.

(S/E) Head due north.

(1) Take the Ravel L163 on the right, towards Bourcy, and carry on straight ahead.

(2) Take the dirt track, turning sharply left at a hairpin bend by a small red post.
Head down to the bridge. Go under it and turn immediately right towards the quarry. Follow the track until you reach a road. Cross it carefully and carry on straight ahead.

(3) At the end of this track, turn right towards Le Mardasson, walk round it and return by the same route.

(3) Then carry on straight ahead along the path between the fields until you reach the main road to Neffe.

(4) Follow it to the left for about fifty metres and cross the road carefully.

(5) Take the first left. Head down towards the village of Neffe.

(6) Carry on straight ahead towards the Ravel L164.

(7) Follow the Ravel until you reach a bridge. Cross the bridge and turn right into the woods.

(8) Head into the woods, then follow the path to the right, skirting a small pond on your left. Follow the path until you reach the road to Neffe. When you reach the road, turn right to reach the village centre.

(6) Return to the path you took on the way there and head left until you reach the Ravel L164, towards Bastogne.

(5) Continue straight on along the Ravel.

(9) Cross the road carefully and turn left towards the Cady monument.
Carry on straight ahead until you reach the car park (S/E).

A pleasant walk… along a cycle path running alongside a busy road. There are some lovely views… but much of the route runs alongside the road and is therefore noisy.
