Around Saint-Benin

Park in the town hall car park.

(S/E) Turn left onto Rue Guynemer and turn left at the intersection with Rue Pasteur. At the next intersection with Rue Gambetta, turn right.

(1) At the three-way junction with Rue Jean Jaurès, continue along the left-hand path. At the crossroads, turn left.

(2) At the crossroads, take the grassy path on the right. Follow the path on your right and take the road and Rue du Chemin Vert. Ignore the paths on the right and left.

(3) At the crossroads with Rue Edmond Vieville, turn right then quickly left, follow Rue Paul Jongbloed, ignore the street on your right and go behind the church.

(4) At the junction with Rue Gallet, turn left. At the intersection with Rue Edmond Vieville, turn right and in the hamlet of Le Vent de Bise, take the path on the right towards the D67.

(5) At the junction with the D67, cross and continue straight ahead. At the junction with Chemin de Vaux (altitude 143), turn left and ignore the street on the right.

(6) Between houses no. 3 and 1 on Rue de Marly, turn right into the small lane. At the end, turn left and go up to the bend in Rue du Moulin. Continue straight ahead.

(7) At the church, turn right and follow it. Opposite, take the small road and turn left at the junction with Rue Genty. Go up the street, then turn right at the intersection.

(8) At the intersection with Rue de la Cavée, turn right and continue straight ahead at the crossroads onto Rue de l'Arbre de Guise. Before the bend, turn left and go up the path.

(9) At the intersection of the paths, turn left just after the embankment. At the end of the wooded path, turn right and then quickly left, go up the path and ignore the path on the right.

(10) At the Chemin Galliéni crossroads, turn right then left, ignoring the path on the right. Stay on the path until you reach the Faubourg des Alliés intersection and turn left.

(11) At the three-way junction on Faubourg des Alliés, turn left and take the grassy path. At the intersection with Faubourg Galliéni, turn right, then turn left onto Rue Saint-Souplet.

(12) At the D267, turn right. At the next intersection, stay on the right and continue on the D267. After the stadium and playground, cross the road, turn left and take Ruelle des Soupirs.

(13) At Rue Faidherbe, turn left. Between houses nos. 11 and 9, turn right onto Ruelle de la Gaité and arrive at the town hall car park (S/E).

The route is easy but not signposted. The terrain is earth, grass, stones and tarmac. Wear suitable footwear.
