Around Bertry

Park in the car park of Bertry Church.

(S/E) At the junction with Rue Léon Gambetta, turn right, then take the^second street on the left, Rue de la République, and follow the road through Place Eugène Fiévet, Rue Jacquard and Rue Jeanne D'Arc. Ignore the streets on the right and left.

(1) Turn right onto Rue du Général Guy Delfosse, ignore the street on the right, take the path through the Bois de Gattigny and stay on the path until you reach the crossroads.

(2) At the crossroads, turn right and follow the Bois de Boulogne. Ignore the path on the right after the woods.

(3) At the intersection, turn left onto Rue des Agaches and continue to the end of the street.

(4) At the intersection with Rue du Général De Gaulle, turn left and ignore the streets on the right and the street on the left. Continue until you reach the junction with the D45.

(5) At the D45 crossroads, turn right onto Route d'Elincourt, then left onto the path heading south, which passes near a water tower and under a power line. Ignore the paths on the right and left.

(6) At the intersection with Rue Jules Ferry, turn left, then right onto Rue d'Élincourt. At the bend, take the path opposite and turn left.

(7) At the first intersection, turn left and continue to the end

(8) At the junction with the D111, turn right, cross the road and stay on the hard shoulder, ignoring the path on the left, then take the next path on the left. Follow it until it joins the D15

(9) At the D15 crossroads, cross and take the path opposite. At the intersection, turn right.

(10) At the intersection, turn left and pass under a power line.

(2) At the Carrefour du Bois de Boulogne, go straight ahead, continue along the road and continue along Rue du Général Guy Delfosserue.

(1) At the intersection with Rue Jeanne D'Arc, cross and turn right into this street. At the next intersection, continue straight ahead on Rue Louise Michel.

(11) At the railway crossing, turn left, then right onto Rue Léon Lemasle and follow the railway line and, further on, the cemetery.

(12) After the cemetery, turn left onto Rue de l'Égalité, ignore the two streets on the right, then turn left onto Rue Jean Bracq and return to the church car park (S/E).

The route is easy but not signposted. The terrain is earth, grass, stones, paving stones and tarmac. Wear suitable footwear.
