Park by the Kappelen War Memorial. Parking is available by the football pitch.
(S/E) Take Rue de la Forêt opposite and head towards the football ground. Walk alongside it and you’ll soon come to a Y-junction with a cross. Turn slightly right to reach another Y-junction very quickly.
(1) Turn left onto the path marked with a Yellow Triangle. Leave this path a few metres further on and keep to the right onto a wide track. Continue through the woods to reach the Thurbach Stream.
(2) Cross the stream and continue along the track to reach the village of Ranspach-le-Bas on the D419 road.
(3) Do not take this road; instead, turn right and then take thefirst path on the right, following the Blue Rectangle markings forthe GR®531. You will reach a crossroads of paths at the edge of a woodland beside the Teufelsgraben stream.
(4) Carry on straight ahead, then turn right twice to rejoin theGR®531. Take it to the left and follow the mixed signposting: the Yellow Triangle and Yellow Ring, as well as the Blue Rectangle. You will then emerge from the woods and, further on, reach a Y-junction.
(5) Turn right, following the Yellow Ring markings; at the entrance to Helfranzkirch, turn right and then follow the Yellow Triangle markings to return to the Y-junction you passed on the way out.
(1) Turn left and continue along the same route as on the way out to return to the car park, either at the football ground or at the Kappelen War Memorial (S/E).
