Start and finish at the car park of Bartenheim church (village centre then towards Brinckheim).
(S/E) Head along Rue Saint-Georges towards the roundabout, continue straight ahead towards another small roundabout, then turn left onto Rue du 19 Novembre and join Rue des Vignes. Turn right onto this street and, after the last houses, turn left onto the path.
(1) At the first crossroads, turn right. Continue to a T-junction, then turn left. Continue along this path to the crossroads at an elevation of 307 metres (beautiful view of Brinckheim and the Black Forest and, on the left, the village of Brinckheim).
(2) Continue straight ahead, staying on the main path, pass under the high-voltage line to reach a T-junction. Turn right and then, after less than 100 metres, turn left. Follow the path to elevation 323.
(3) At this crossroads, turn left onto the main road to reach Stetten at the D21, where there is a small wayside cross.
(4) Cross the D21 and follow Rue de Grengelberg opposite. At the end of the street, continue almost straight ahead. At the next Y-junction, turn right onto Rue de Magstatt le Haut, then continue straight ahead along a small path to reach Rue des Alliés. At the edge of the village, stay on the main path which continues along the street and climbs uphill. Along the way, you will reach a small square where you can stop and enjoy a magnificent view of the Black Forest.
(5) Continue climbing the main path to reach the blue rectangle marked trail (Mulhouse-Leymen). At elevation 397, turn left to quickly reach the large oak tree (unfortunately, the view is blocked by forests and cornfields).
(6) Turn left to continue along the blue rectangle marked trail and join the D161.
(7) Follow it to the left to cross Helfrantzkirch at Rue de Jettingen, passing in front of the church. Reach the D21 and cross to take Rue des Vergers opposite.
(8) After about 50 metres, at the Y-junction, leave the blue rectangle marked trail and continue along Rue des Vergers to the left on the red circle marked trail. You will reach the Kappelen football pitch.
(9) Turn left and then leave Rue de la Forêt via the first small path on the right, which leads to Rue du Sundgau. Turn right and stay on the small tarmac road that crosses the Wurmbach and returns to Rue du Soleil.
(10) Leave it by turning right to climb towards a small forest and, at the end of the climb, reach a small path that we will take on the right. This path runs alongside the forest and leads to the Sud Alsace dog kennels, passing in front of a small house (Winzerhisle).
(11) Turn left and descend to Brinckheim via Rue du Chenil. Turn left onto Rue des Abeilles, then immediately right onto Rue du Rhin and join a path on the right bank of the Muehlgraben.
(12) At Hochaloch, you will see the Muehlgraben, which makes a slight bend; continue until you reach another crossroads. Continue along the path on the right bank, which ends at Rue du Cimetière and takes you back to the starting point (S/E).
