Start and finish at the car park of Bartenheim church (village centre then towards Brinckheim).
(S/E) Head along Rue Saint-Georges towards the roundabout, continue straight on towards another small roundabout, then turn left onto Rue du 19 Novembre and join Rue des Vignes. Turn right onto this street and, after the last houses, turn left onto the path.
(1) At the first crossroads, turn right. Continue to a T-junction, then turn left. Continue along this path until you reach the crossroads at an elevation of 307 metres (beautiful view of the Black Forest and, on the left, the village of Brinckheim).
(2) Continue straight ahead on the main path, pass under a high-voltage power line to reach a T-junction. Then turn left and keep heading south to pass under the high-voltage power line again and reach a crossroads with a small cross.
(3) At this crossroads, continue straight ahead on the main road (south) to reach Kappelen at the D21I.
(4) Turn right onto the D21I, then take the first left onto Rue du Soleil, then the first left again to reach Rue des Vignes. At the end of this street, continue along the footpath that runs alongside a small wood and leads to a small house (the Winzerhisle).
(5) Continue straight ahead to reach the South Alsace Dog Kennels.
(6) Turn left and descend to Brinckheim via Rue du Chenil. Turn left onto Rue des Abeilles, then immediately right onto Rue du Rhin and join a path on the right bank of the Muehlgraben.
(7) At Hochaloch, you will overlook the Muehlgraben, which you can see a few metres below. Continue to reach a new crossroads of paths. Continue straight ahead on the path on the right bank, which ends at Rue du Cimetière and takes you back to the starting point (S/E).
