(S/E) Park in the Marsilly Sports Complex car park and take Rue Gaston Aujard, heading north.
Pass in front of the football stadium and the Robert Chansigaud hall. At the tennis court, go through a wooden gate.
(1) At the end of the road, turn left onto Rue des Jards. At the stop sign, continue straight ahead onto Rue du Chemin Vert. When you reach Rue du Chemin Bas, turn right and cross the car park on the left.
(2) Take the small alleyway at the end in front of the Jean de La Fontaine School. The alleyway leads to Rue des Écoles, which you will follow to the left, opposite the fortified church.
(3) At the cemetery, take the first alley on the left to go around it via Rue du Temple until you reach Rue de l'Église, which you will follow to the right for about thirty metres. Then turn left onto Rue de l'Ancienne Poste.
(4) Opposite the library, take a very small dirt lane on the left. Turn right and at the end of the lane, opposite No. 12, turn left onto Rue des Saints Pères. Turn right onto the first road on the right, in a housing estate, Rue de l'Océan. Follow it to the end (junction with Rue des Boucholeurs).
(5) Opposite, slightly to the left, take the cycle and footpath towards the ocean. At the crossroads facing the coast, take the path on the left and leave the cycle path to continue along the coast. On the right, you can see the fishing pontoons and the Île de Ré offshore.
(6) At the end of the path, opposite the Marsilly Golf Course, turn right onto a tarmac road that leads back to the coast. Opposite the blockhouse, just after a car park and in front of the barrier, take the cycle path on the right. Continue past the oyster huts.
(7) At Port de La Pelle, the track continues along the dyke and then follows the coastal road to Côte Vague. Turn right onto the street of the same name, pass two roads on the left and, after a wide right-hand bend, turn left at the crossroads (same street) and go around the ostrich farm, "L'Autruche de Laurette", taking the first right.
(8) Opposite the farm gate, turn left and just before a left-hand bend, take the small pedestrian alleyway in the housing estate to Rue de l'île d'Oléron, which you will cross to take another alleyway in a housing estate under construction.
(9) At the end of the housing estate, cross Route de Charron or Rue du Château d'Eau and take Rue de Villedoux opposite. About 60 metres further on, turn right onto Rue de Nantilly, which continues on the left. Take the first left, Rue du Palais, and then immediately right. At the end, turn left onto Rue des Marronniers.
(10) Pass in front of Château de Nantilly, continue along Rue des Marronniers and take the third right, Rue des Jards. The first street on the left, Rue Gaston Aujard, takes you back to the starting point and the car park (S/E).
