A challenging hike, with a fairly steady gradient, leading to a summit offering sweeping views: the Julian Alps with their Slovenian peaks (Triglav, etc.), the mountains along the border with Italy and beyond, and the Adriatic Sea (Trieste). Best undertaken in clear weather.

Tour of the lakes above Lake Bohinj
A long and very beautiful route with some striking views, which allows you to stay as cool as possible by not exceeding 1,700 m. Very pleasant in summer as there are lots of forests, few sections with a gradient of more than 15% on the way up, and it is fully marked, so there are no surprise trails. There are a few steep descents.
Tour of Lake Bohinj and Savica Waterfall
Lake Bohinj (Bohinjsko jezero) is Slovenia’s largest glacial lake. It is situated within Triglav National Park. Less crowded than Lake Bled, it is well worth a visit.
Nearby, Savica Waterfall is the perfect addition to this hike.
Slovenia1: Bohinj - Triglav Lakes Hut
The first day of hiking takes you as high as possible to reach the mountains. The hike takes you through mountain pastures and the Orne Valley. You will see shepherds' houses that have been producing cheese for centuries, some of which still continue the tradition. The hike, which goes to the Triglav Lakes Hut, passes by Double Lake.
Slemenova Spica
This hike to the summit of Slemenova Spica, a classic route starting from the Vrsic Pass, will allow you to get away from the crowds at the pass and enjoy a beautiful 360° panorama of the northern part of Triglav National Park, including two of its highest peaks: Skrlatica and Jalovec.
