Departure from the car park of the Réallon ski resort.
S/E From the car park, take the marked trail that climbs into the forest (towards the chairlift), paying attention not to miss the point where a path branches off to the right (still marked and still heading in the same direction) directly into the slope.
Continue along this path through meadows and forests until you reach a ridge overlooking Lake Serre-Ponçon.
(1) Continue to the right along the ridge until you reach the chairlift station (viewpoint and orientation table).
(2) From the chairlift, take the toboggan run that passes at the foot of the Aiguilles de Chabrières. The descent is rocky and not always very pleasant. Remember to turn around to admire the Aiguilles.
Stay on the main track (ignore the track that branches off to the right towards Les Aurans and the resort) until you reach the Font Guillarde water source.
(3) Take the trail that descends just below the basin to join another path, then head left and a little further on take the trail that starts on the left towards Vaucluse. This marked trail crosses some pretty meadows.
(4) Below a small chalet perched on the hillside, the path veers slightly to the right through some rocks before climbing up the slope opposite (follow the blue markings and avoid the temptation to take the track that seems to descend into the valley).
Continue through woods and scree until you reach the Cabane de Font Renarde.
(5) Continue on the right towards Vaucluse.
(6) When this path joins another perpendicular path, turn right (mountain bike markings) and descend towards the houses of the hamlet of Vaucluse.
You will then rejoin theGR® trail, which descends to the left and passes a few chalets before continuing along a balcony above the Réallon valley, offering some beautiful views of the village.
Continue on theGR® trail, which skirts the slopes until you can see the resort buildings.
(7) At this point, a small path (marked) starts on the right, allowing you to avoid having to join the road. Cross the resort to reach the car park (S/E).
