Divine, vache Bleue du Nord au départ de Saint-Hilaire

Park at the junction of Chemin de la Croisette and Chemin de l'Ermitage.

(S/E) Head north-north-east and follow Chemin de l'Ermitage. Keep going straight on, passing a campsite on the left and then some large buildings on the right. Cross a stream.

(1) After crossing the bridge, continue straight on, leaving the hamlet of l'Ermitage on your right and a path on your left.

(2) You will come out onto Chemin du Petit Moulin; follow it to the right. Ignore two turnings on the left. When you reach the farm buildings, turn right and head for the hamlet of Les Bodeletz.

(3) In the hamlet, turn right twice and follow the Chemin de l’Ermitage for about 200 m. Then turn left towards the hamlet of l’Ermitage and cross a stream.

(4) At the fork, turn left onto a grassy path and leave the hamlet on your right. Pass an oratory and head towards La Sablière.

(5) Continue straight on along a small road. At the junction, turn right and return to the starting point at La Croisette (S/E).

This route is unmarked but forms part of the short alternative route of a route listed in the PDIPR.

Along the way, you will come across herds of the Bleue du Nord cattle breed, a threatened local breed whose breeders are running a conservation and revival programme with the supportof Espaces Naturels Régionaux Nord-Pas-de-Calais.
