A very classic route that takes you to four remarkable viewpoints in succession, offering views of Grenoble and its valley, as well as the Vercors plateau, the Rocher de l’Ours and the Roc Cornafion. It’s a hike you should do at least once if you’re in the area. Ideally, you should take two cars up and leave one at the finish, which is at the Parking des Barnets, two hairpin bends below the start point at the Lans-en-Vercors resort.

This is a pleasant route with no real difficulties, apart from the distance and a few steep sections in thefirst third. Once you reach the ridges (take care if you have young children), you will walk constantly above the plateau with a magnificent view of Grenoble, as well as the Trois Pucelles, Moucherotte, Pic Saint-Michel and Roc Cornafion. The return via the plateau is a formality, where a gourmet stop at the refuge is a must.

This easy circular loop will delight lovers of mountain pastures and sweeping views of the Grenoble basin.

This route in A/R takes you through enchanting surroundings to the beautiful Saint-Véran observatory, where you can then flirt with the 3,000 m mark (2,989 m) by climbing to the Pic de Château Renard for one last effort. Friendly marmots will accompany you along the way, guaranteed to steal your heart.

This fairly strenuous circular route offers a taste of the best of Belledonne (forest, rocks, lakes, peaks) to those who take it on. The route is well signposted, though obvious, with an unmistakable trail on the ground all the way. There are no technical difficulties, but it’s best to wear sturdy footwear as the rocky sections on the ascent are challenging. ⚠️ 15/06/2026: a notice indicates a rockfall at Cul de la Vieille between points 4 and 9, making it impossible to follow this route. You must bypass this section between points 3 and 4 via the GR®738. Please let us know in the comments if you have any information regarding the lifting of this notice.

A very pleasant, easy alternative for all lovers of the Trièves region. However, caution is advised as the ascents/descents are slippery, and as there are virtually no markings here, it is best to have something to help you find your way and to do this route in clear weather.

A complete change of scenery is guaranteed on this ride, where you’ll be treated to a feast of lakes. The approach to the plateau via the Refuge de la Fare is impressive but poses no real danger, especially as the view on arrival is well worth the effort. Reaching the Dôme des Petites Rousses is then a mere formality before tackling the descent, partly along the ski runs.
