This is a pleasant hike where you can encounter chamois and marmots and enjoy breathtaking views of the main peaks of the Vanoise from the summit. On one side: Grande Motte, Grande Casse, Dôme de Chasseforêt, Dent Parachée, Méan Martin. On the other: Charbonnel, Albaron, Grande Chiamarella. In the background, Mont Blanc, of course.

This is a short, easy and pleasant hike, ideal for a family outing. At the start, the village of Villaron is typical and well worth a visit, and at the end, the Cirque du Vallon is very bucolic. Along the way, you may see some wild animals (marmots, chamois, vultures, sparrowhawks, etc.).

A short circuit accessible to children. You cross streams where they can play. The part in the forest is very pleasant, especially when it's hot. What's more, they can find wild strawberries and raspberries. The route is dotted with information panels about village life.

From Plan Lachat, a circular takes you over three passes (La Ponsonnière, Cerces and Rochilles) and past five lakes (Ponsonnière, Grand Lac, Cerces, Grand Ban and Rond). The view of Lautaret and the Aiguilles d'Arves is splendid, and the rocks of Pic de la Moulinière and Pointe des Cerces are impressive.

This hike takes you to the Grand Perron des Encombres, starting from La Saussaz. The access road is narrow but paved all the way to the start of the hike. The view from the summit is extraordinary. An exceptional 360° panorama with Mont Blanc dominating the scene and, above all, the near certainty of encountering ibex.

A pleasant loop starting from the Angles Animal Park. A passage by the Lac d'Aude then a view of the Lac des Bouillousses. At Corrals del Lloret, a beautiful herd of cows with their calves. A few almost wild horses. Mont Llauret and Roc d'Aude at the end to see the surroundings.

Circular loop to explore Combe de Narreyroux and the Canaux trail in Puy-Saint-Vincent. It follows the 1800m discovery trail to the Pont de Narreyroux bridge, passing through the Combe, which is reminiscent of Switzerland. The return journey is along the botanical trail alongside the Canal Trail.

Circular route from the 1,800-metre resort along the Col des Lauzes path, returning via Narreyroux. The start climbs steeply to the top of the Bergerie chairlift. If it’s running, it’s best to take it, especially with children. Otherwise, follow the path which winds its way up through the ski run. For the more fit, head straight up alongside the ski run. The circular loop turns just before the waterfalls.

A short walk for children through the hamlets between Le Villaret and Vallandry. Much of the ascent is by cable car (free of charge). Afterwards, it’s a pleasant walk through the forest with lovely views of the valley and, if the weather is fine, the chance to see Mont Blanc.

A very pleasant loop that takes you along the Barre de Cuers via Les Veys. The lower part is on a green trail. The upper section, along the Barre, offers magnificent views with Porquerolles, Port Cros, Le Levant and the main peaks of eastern Toulon in the background. The west-east orientation of the Barre means you can avoid the mistral wind. Despite strong winds, the trail is sheltered and easy to walk. Spring is the best season as it gets hot in summer.

A round trip to Col de Longet, along a wide, very pleasant valley. The climb is steady, passing through forest and mountain pastures before reaching rocky terrain. Variations: see § Practical information* This hike can be done on snowshoes up to (3). See § Practical information**

Starting from La Goulaz in Bessans, just above the cross-country ski trails and at the foot of “Tièrce”, you can take a short circular route partly along the Chemin du Petit Bonheur. It follows the botanical trail, dotted with small signs giving the names of the flowers and their uses.
