Start from the Grand Pré shopping centre car park.
(S/E) From the car park, head towards the roundabout and turn right onto Route de Bouguenais, walking alongside the cemetery. At the roundabout, turn left up Rue Jean Cremet. At the top of the street, turn left, then immediately right onto Rue de l’Église. At the church, turn left onto Rue de Stadtoldendorf and, 50 metres further on, turn right onto Rue Tessier, then left onto Rue Violin for 30 metres. Turn right onto Boulevard National.
(1) At the right-hand bend, turn left, enter the town hall grounds and exit at the town hall. Turn left onto Rue Simone Veil, then go up the steps to the town hall esplanade. Head towards Rue de la Roseraie. At the end of the street, turn right, then take the first left onto Rue Jean Jaurès and continue straight on to the end of Rue de la Garenne, near the sewage treatment works.
(2) Cross Rue du Bac, take the path that runs alongside the sewage treatment plant and climbs up to the village of Saint-Jean-de-Boiseau. At the top, continue to your left and take Rue du Commerce. After 250 m, first turn right then left onto Rue de la Perche. At the hamlet of La Rigaudière, leave the tarmac and head straight on along the path leading to Chemin de la Higonière. After about 400 m, turn left onto Chemin de la Higonière.
(3) Turn right towards La Noë onto Rue Jean de Martel and, at the end, turn left onto Rue des Noëlles du Pé. Pass Rue Henri Dunant on your left and turn right onto Chemin des Vignes. Continue straight on, then turn right after about thirty metres and head left onto Chemin de la Chaufferie. At the boiler house – recognisable by its large chimney – turn right, cross Rue Nelson Mandela and head towards the Passage du Grand Quartron.
(4) Cross Rue de la Croix Truin and take Chemin des Plécinaux opposite for 50 metres. Turn left into Impasse des Plécinau; at the end, turn right into Rue de la Métairie and, after 80 metres, turn left into Rue des Pierres Blanches.
(5) Turn right onto Rue du Stade, then veer left onto the footpath to avoid the road. Turn left onto Rue de l’Ouche Gérard and continue to Rue du Vieux Four. Turn right, then immediately left onto Rue de la Rivetière.
(6) Head left, then, after 50 metres, take the small footpath just before the entrance to a house. Follow this path, which runs alongside the Ruisseau des Fous for 500 m, until you reach Rue de l’Hommeau; turn right onto this street and follow it until you reach Chemin du Tressard on your right. Take this path to the hamlet of La Fenêtre and continue straight on along Rue de la Fenêtre.
(7) Cross Rue de la Belle Étoile to take the Passage des Trente Moulins; continue straight on for 150 metres, then go down the steps on your left to discover the small Parc des Sables Rouges. Leave the park via Rue Daniel Le Thiec, then turn left into Rue Claude Godeau and, at the end, turn right onto Allée de Panama.
(8) Cross Rue Mendès-France to head down Rue Flora Tristan and, at the bend, carry on straight ahead along the narrow path which leads to the Ruisseau des Fous. At the small bridge, turn right, following the stream to rejoin Rue Flora Tristan and, on your left, the Grand Pré car park (S/E).
