Coming from Thurins toward Yzeron on the D628, at La Rontalonière, turn fully right down to the mill. Park nearby.
(S/E) Take the path on the right, under the mill. Ignore the first path to the right, cross two streams and then arrive at the Les Bruyères signpost.
(1) Turn left on the path to the hamlet of La Cornelière. Keep following this path until you reach a road near the hamlet.
(2) About 20 meters after the junction, take the path that climbs to the right and then joins a small road that you follow right until the Route de Thurins (D25). Turn left and then immediately right on the path that climbs toward the Crêt de Py Froid.
After 100m, turn left on the ascending path, pass two hairpins and, under the summit, reach a path at the highest point of the walk (794m).
(3) Turn right and follow this path which descends slightly toward the climbing site.
(4)At the col (spot height 722), take the path opposite and then, after 50m, the one that descends to the right toward Chateauvieux. Follow it until you reach Châteauvieux where it joins a road that you take to the right.
(5) Before the equestrian centre, leave the road, taking a path to the left, then fork immediately left down to Grand Croix.
At the cross, veer to the right and then right again after that. Follow the path up to a continuing road. Follow it for about 500m to reach an isolated house.
(6)Leave the road and take the path on the right before a fork. Once at the D25, follow it left descending for about 200m, then, at the end of the bend, take the path to the right.
Follow this path until you join the climbing path at the Bruyères signpost.
(1) Carry straight on, going down to quickly reach the mill(S/E).
