Park opposite the Carmel.
(S/E) When you leave your car, continue south and turn right into the first street (Chemin du Planil) and continue for 200 metres.
(1) Take the street on your left that descends towards the valley. Continue straight downhill, ignoring the first and second roads on your right. At the hamlet of La Cornelière, go straight ahead at the right-hand bend
(2) At the end of the hamlet, take the narrow path that descends to the right. It leads you downhill through the woods to the Barrage lake.
(3) Follow the small path on your right that goes around it. It will take you to the other side of the dam, which you cannot cross. Then continue straight ahead for twenty metres.
(4) Take the path that climbs up to your right along a small stream, which will take you to the hamlet of La Mure.
Take the road on the right and follow it for about 300 metres.
(5) In the bend in the woods, take the small path that climbs to the left. Walk alongside the cherry trees and enter the woods. Ignore the paths that branch off to the left and right. Leave the woods and you will find yourself in the middle of meadows, before arriving at the Biternay farm.
(6) Take the road to the left. Follow the road and ignore the road that branches off to the left towards the Bellevue farm.
(7) At the crossroads, 300 metres further on, take the small road that climbs to the right towards Le Pinay (marked as a path on the IGN map). Cross the hamlet of Le Pinay and continue to the junction with the D122.
(8) Cross the road and take the path opposite you that climbs through the fields towards the forest.
Follow this path into the woods. Ignore the first path on the left and then on the right, keeping a north-westerly direction.
(9) Take the second path on the left that climbs slightly.
(10) At the small pass, take the path (markedGR®) that branches off to the right. At the first intersection, be sure to turn left. The path markedGR® and Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle will take you to the Col des Brosses, marked by a wooden cross.
(11) Take the path on the right and follow it until you reach a paved road, which you take to your left.
At the first intersection, turn right. Go around the hamlet of Tiollet by turning right and continue to the pine forest and the pumping station.
(12) Follow the path on the left into the pine forest. Continue to Lac du Ronzey (ignore the two forks on the right).
On the other side of the lake (which you can walk along on the left or right), a path leads you to the centre of the village, which you reach by continuing straight ahead.
(13) At the main square in the village, take the road to the right towards Lyon and return to your car (S/E).
