Park in one of the car parks at the entrance to the village.

(S/E) From the central square of the village of Antraïgues-sur-Volane, take the marked lane on the left. Pass in front of the Espace Jean Saussac, continue along these lanes, then descend via the paved slanting street leading to the Pont de Gamond.
(1) Cross the bridge and continue straight ahead (the right-hand path is for the return journey) for about 200 metres.
(2) At the fork, follow the path uphill to the right, towards Château de Craux. Ignore the various paths on either side of the well-marked trail. Cross the magnificent basalt scree of the volcano and reach the Col de Génestelle.
(3) Follow the small road on the right to Château de Craux Rochegude.
(4) Château de Craux site. Pass the first fork leading to the château. At thesecond fork, you will find information boards and picnic tables.
Follow the road down to the right until the next crossroads. Walk along the hamlet of Le Rouge.
(5) At the fork, turn right. Immediately find a path on the left. Turn downhill onto this path. Stay on the marked route, which takes a paved slanting street further down. Continue to a small road.
(6) Follow it to the right and, at the next junction, join the route up to Pont de Gamond. Cross the bridge again.
(1) Turn left and climb up the paved slanting street to the central square of the village of Antraïgues-sur-Volane (S/E).
