Descent to the bottom of the Semnoz ski resort on the south side from the Crêt de Chatillon car park.
Park in the car park at the pass by following the Route de Leschaux for 200 metres.
(S/E) Enter the pastures via a footpath to the right of the road as you head down.
(1) Follow a stony, south-facing path used to move the herds. Pass close to the Grotte de l’Ours.
Continue along this path until you reach the bottom of the ski lifts.
(2) Turn back just before reaching the Leschaux road, then head back up the same path to return to the starting car park (S/E).
A short and easy walk amongst herds of Tarine and Abondance cows, which are used to produce Tome des Bauges
