Park in Merrien on the right bank (car park on the right bank just opposite the port of Merrien)
(S/E) Walk along the right bank of the Merrien River on theGR®34 trailmarked in red and white. You will soon arrive at Houard.
(1) Take the coastal path to the right, which is still the GR®. Follow it to arrive opposite Brigneau harbour.
(2) Continue along the path beside the Brigneau River until you reach a small car park at the end of Brigneau Cove.
(3) Leave theGR® here and take the road on the right. At the end of this road, turn right towards the hamlet of Kermeurzac'h.
(4) Turn left onto the path, then follow the path that branches off to the left, pass Kerscoazec, and continue to Kercanet.
(5) Turn right, follow the path and then take the one that branches off to the right to cross the river, and follow the one on the left to reach a road that you must follow to the left.
(6) At the bread oven, follow the road to the left to find a path on the right a little further on. Take the path that branches off completely to the right to continue on the path that branches off completely to the left and continue on the main path.
You will see a fountain on the right and, on the left, a dovecote which still houses the pump motor that was probably used to supply water to Plaçamen Castle. Head towards the castle.
(7) Turn right and continue until you find the path that branches off to the left, then turn right to reach Moulin L'Abbé and rejoin theGR®34.
(8) Follow it to the right to return to the car park where you started (S/E).
