Turon de Hailla from Vizos

In Esquièze-Sère, turn left after the supermarket and pass the old train station. Then turn right and continue to the village of Vizos. In the village, park in the small square.

(S/E) Continue along the parking lot, turn left onto the road that descends, then right: there is a no-traffic sign. Continue for about 1 km on the paved road.

(1) Before the barns of Larbèze and just after the start of a track, take the path that climbs to the right: old wooden sign "Cot de Yeous". Shortly after, at the first fork, keep left.

(2) At the barn, cross the track and continue straight ahead. Cross a little-used track.

(3) Continue straight ahead. Further on, leave the path that continues straight ahead and follow the yellow signs to the left. After a steep climb, you will reach the Cabane du Cot de Yéous.

(4) Continue on the path that descends, passes over some ruins, then climbs up the hillside to reach a fork (elevation 1654).

(5) Leave the most marked path on your left (towards Saligos via Coueylas) and continue right towards the Cabane de Nat.

(6) At the hut, follow the ridge to the left without a clearly marked path. Reach a small hillock adorned with a small shrub and continue to arrive at Turon de Hailla, which is just beyond (beautiful cairn).

(7) Return by the same route to the car park in Vizos (S/E).
