Between Châtillon-en-Diois and Saint-Roman, park just before the Pont de Menglon, near the Bès, after the fire station and the Guignaise industrial estate.
(S/E) Cross the bridge and leave the road to take the path on the left which joins a small track. Follow this to the left to walk upstream along the Bès. It soon becomes a geological trail. Continue until you reach theGR®91at a telecoms mast. Turn left, cross the Bès again and arrive at the entrance to Châtillon-en-Diois.
(1) Turn left into Rue du Viol du Bez. Cross the main road carefully and take one of the amazing narrow alleyways opposite. Don’t hesitate to lose yourself in the “viols” of the old village as you head slightly uphill to the left.
You’ll arrive in Rue des Rotangs; take it to the right until you pass under the Clock Tower and then the fountain.
(2) Turn left at a 90° angle to head up Rue du Tricot and you’ll come to a new junction shortly after the Suel Lodge.
(3) Take the dead-end road on the right and follow the red and white markings ofthe GR®91. After thethird hairpin bend, you’ll reach a T-junction.
(4) Leave theGR® here and continue straight ahead along an easy track through an open field. This track becomes a more or less level path; it is the remains of an old canal still visible in places. Follow it to the Cascade de l’Adoux.
(5) Turn right at almost a 180° angle onto the Chemin de Rossignol, follow the stream and, before reaching the houses, you will find theGR®965.
(6) Follow it to the Carrefour de l'Horloge.
(2) Walk through the village streets again, turn left onto Rue de la Gare then right onto Rue du Ruisseau de Lagier to reach the crossroads at the entrance to Châtillon-en-Diois.
(1) Do not cross the Bès but take the path opposite on the right bank of the river. Walk along the edge of the stream to easily return to the Pont de Menglon car park (S/E).
