Access via Montréjeau: head south towards Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges, leave Saint-Bertrand on your right and continue on the D925, then the D125 to the village of Sacoué. Park opposite the church (be careful not to park in front of the drinking troughs), or in front of the cemetery (on the right as you enter the village), or in the Chemin Vidalet car park (first road on the right after the cemetery).
(S/E) With your back to the church, go straight ahead on Chemin du Sarrat until the next crossroads.
(1) Continue along Chemin du Sarrat, on the left, until the end of the tarmac road.
(2) Take the path on the right that leads into the forest and continue until you reach a forest road.
(3) Turn left and walk for about 50 metres until you find a path on the right. Turn right and follow it until you reach a landmark rock at a fork in the path.
(4) Continue straight ahead. Ignore the track that branches off to the left.
(5) Turn right and walk for about 400 metres, climbing towards the summit. Shortly before reaching an elevation of 1,318 metres, the track widens (car park) and forms a three-way junction. Make sure you reach this junction.
(6) Turn left onto the track that climbs into the forest. This track has a barrier. Continue straight ahead to the ridge (towards Pic de Pène Toue). Be careful, a few metres before reaching the three-way junction, a path branches off to the left. Do not take it. It is easy to spot as two large stones block the entrance; it is flat, then descends quite quickly.
(7) Continue straight ahead towards the ridge.
(8) Ignore the path that branches off to the right and continue straight ahead to reach the ridge at Pic de Pène Toue.
(9) Turn right and follow the ridge to the summit.
(10) Enjoy the view. Return via the same route to the church at Sacoué (S/E).
