Description of the walk

Antichan cemetery car park.

(S/E) With your back to the cemetery, take Route d'Antichon (D125) on the right and join the D422.

(1) Continue right on this road, which leads towards L'Ourse.

(2) Ignore the bridge on the left, pass the Hostellerie de l'Ourse (closed) and continue for about 150 metres.

(3) Turn right and take the path that climbs towards Antichan. This turns right and joins a road.

(4) Follow it to the left towards the drinking trough and wash house. Continue along this small road (there is a picnic area on the left). Walk alongside a stream and you will come to a hairpin bend in the road.

(5) Leave the road on the right, cross another stream and follow it south to the old industrial quarry site.

(6) Turn right towards the south-west, then right again towards the north-west onto a wider path, and join a small road.

(7) Follow it to the right and arrive at a fork at the Antichan town hall.

(8) Continue straight ahead along Rue Pater, then turn left onto Route de Houssats (D125) and you will find the car park on your right (S/E).

A beautiful hike that allows you to discover unexpected places in the Barousse Valley. The circular route is not difficult, except at point 5 where we missed the trailhead on the right in front of the entrance to private property. Yellow signs make it easy to find your way, and the trail has been recently maintained. Thank you all.
